HPA’s 2024 Crop Report: Hyperfocused on Aussie Hop Quality

Nuremberg, May 3 2024. Our group member Hop Products Australia (HPA) has published its annual harvest report.

HPA responded to changes in global demand by idling about 20 % of their hop gardens, leading to a decrease in all proprietary hop yields, a move deemed necessary to rebalance supply and demand. The reduced production allowed HPA to focus even more on quality, with oil content averages meeting or exceeding the five-year average, especially for Galaxy® and Enigma® hops, which showed above-average values. Continuing to invest in quality, technology, and infrastructure, HPA aims to stabilize prices and improve the availability of Australian hops.
